Looking for help in identifying a part. (See attachment)
Buzzing noise starts about 20 minutes after starting the engines. We've traced the noise back to the starboard engine. The noise appears to be coming from the fly bridge.
All gauges are normal. The part says 4099. The wires attached are purple and green. Any ideas what this could be?

That, my friend, is an alarm buzzer. They are pretty generic so, depending on where and how you buy accessory parts, you might replace both on the flying bridge.
Are you using the upper bridge ignition switches? I think the alarms only work with the active ignition switches. Lower=Lower and Upper=Upper.
In either case, the question is why? It may be as simple as a bad sending unit.

Buzzer for sure, but why the alarm after 20 minutes? Defective sender or low oil pressure once hot?

Did this issue arise after an oil filter change? If you have the hinos, are you sure the element filter was not installed upside down? It happens.

Fisheries Supply. About $14. On their website, search 4099. I replaced 2 last year. The purple wire is power and should have 12 volts on it. The green wire comes from the oil pressure switch, oil flow and water temp overheat switches. The buzzer is working if it is making noise and not the problem. With the alarm on take the green wires off the senders, then reattach them one at a time, you can tell which sender is sending the fault signal. The senders are normally electrical open and close (or ground) to make the buzzer sound.

On my 32xx I had a issue that would cause the buzzer on the fly bridge start buzzing when I was running the boat from down below. This was caused by corrosion at the engine wire harness. It's on the back of the engine, it's a large white connector. You might want to make sure it is not corroded by pulling the connectors apart and taking a look.
