Just acquired a 2003 175 br which has two sets of b2b seats. They are in need of reupholstering but thought before I do that I'd like to weigh the option of single seats. Any thoughts/suggestions or guidance you folks could offer would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the BOC. Please add some information about yourself, where you live and where you use your boat to your profile signature.
As to your seat question, it's your boat first of all and if that type of seating works for you, go for it. You could do a combination of a pilots seat with a b2b on the other side.
If you are going to change the configuration, carefully examine access/egress before selecting your replacements. Also, consider your longer term plan for how you plan to use your boat. If you will mostly do activities like waterskiing and wake boarding, a rear facing seat is a given.
Carefully check the deck under and around the seats for a soft deck. It would be common and very repairable.
Welcome!

Thank you Pete. I have updated my signature with your suggestions. Would you happen to have a link or something that you could provide as to what installing a captains chair or swivel chairs in a bow rider entails?

Thanks again.

Here is a picture of a BOC member's 175 BR seat conversion. All materials and work was HIGH END. Notice where he had his depth finder mounted.

That's exactly what I'm looking to do. Thanks for posting that. Would you happen to have a link? I have seen a few lately with the depth finder installed like that. Is that an odd place? I ask because of my limited experience with bow riders.
